Our platform is built on a robust PHP Laravel architecture, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as HTML/CSS, MySQL, and a React Native mobile app that is currently being evaluated before release. Role Summary
Employment Type: Remote – Full-Time (No freelancers; minimum contract period required)
Experience Level: Senior (5+ years in software development & architecture)
Reports To: CEO & aligns with key business stakeholders
As a PHP Tech Lead, you will:
Oversee end-to-end development
Optimize database performance
Lead our transition to a scalable multi-tenant SaaS environment
This role requires a hands-on leader to:
Manage UI, QC, DEV, and Infrastructure teams
Ensure system stability, security, and performance
Integrate third-party APIs and React Native for mobile workflows
Key Responsibilities
Manage & Coordinate: Oversee outsourced vendors and internal DEV, UI, QC, and Infrastructure teams to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.
Architect Microservices: Re-design the monolithic architecture into microservices, enabling scalability across tenants and regions.
Implement Integrations: Ensure secure, reliable API integrations with Laravel, MySQL, React Native, and third-party platforms.
Optimize Performance: Address mono/stress issues, improve data security, and maintain 99.9%+ uptime for customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Enforce Best Practices by Applying industry-leading SaaS design models, multi-tenancy support, and data privacy compliance (specifically GDPR, if applicable).
Mentor & Develop: Foster a culture of peer programming, knowledge-sharing, and innovation to enhance team performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required
5+ years of professional experience in PHP Laravel, specializing in enterprise-level system integrations, multi-tenancy SaaS architecture, and database performance optimization.
Strong expertise in RESTful API development, stateless API architecture, and secure API authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional development teams in an Agile environment, ensuring seamless collaboration between UI, Backend, and Infrastructure teams.
Proficiency in MySQL (or SQL Server) with advanced database structuring, query optimization, and indexing techniques to improve system efficiency.
Strong command of front-end technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3, and experience working with modern front-end libraries/frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, or Angular preferred).
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, asynchronous messaging, and scalable software design to support enterprise-wide deployments.
Experience working with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and managing deployments in cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS, etc.).
Ability to work full-time remotely, align with UAE/Egypt time zones, and commit to strict project deadlines while maintaining clear and professional communication.
Preferred
Experience in automotive technology, workshop management, or inventory management systems is beneficial but not required for application submission.
Experience with Azure Pipelines, AWS, Oracle, or other cloud-based CI/CD.
Extra points are needed to understand data privacy frameworks and requirements, especially GDPR, if applicable.
Bonus points will be awarded for demonstrating a strong understanding of cross-platform integrations.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases like (MongoDB, Firebase, DynamoDB, etc)” can be a significant asset.
